I am taking 2 Spanish students to Oasis haunts in Manchester as they are huge fans. The official tour is £80 and as they are only 16 they cant afford it. Oasis have been nominated for four awards at this year’s UK MVAs. The video for ‘Falling Down’ is up for:
- ‘Best Cinematography In A Video’
- ‘Best Editing in a Video’
- ‘Best Rock Video’
They are also up for ‘The Innovation Award’ for ‘Dig Out Your Soul’.
WIZ, the director of the ‘Falling Down’ video (and Kasabian’s ‘Fire’) is up for Best Director.

This weeks issue of the NME has news that Oasis’ next single will be ‘Stop Crying Your Heart Out’. The song, which was first played at the CD:UK session recently, is said to be a cross between ‘Slide-Away’ and ‘Don’t Go Away’. The video to ‘The Hindu Times’ features the group playing live – but occasionally the slogans ‘Pills’ and ‘Bombs’ flash up on screen.
