Oasis are giving away a free six-track CD in the UK this weekend, containing three songs from forthcoming album ‘Heathen Chemistry’. The CD marks a radical shift in the distribution of music because some of the tracks will “expire” after four listens.

OASIS opened a new world tour in LYON, France last night (June 17) premiering a raft a new tracks from forthcoming new album ‘HEATHEN CHEMISTRY’.

#2 in Spain

Oasis’ single ‘The Hindu Times’ is #2 this week in Spain. This follows a #1 single in a couple of other countries including Canada and the UK. This all bodes well for the upcoming album, ‘Heathen Chemistry’, which will be out July 1st in England and July 2nd in North America.

Hindu Times Region 1 DVD update

Recently CDNow had been offering for pre-sale a region 1 dvd version of the Hindu Times single. This is of much interest to many North American fans of the band as it would allow them to be able to play the DVD in North American DVD players. Oasis gigs sell out in 30 minutes

Tickets for Oasis’s northern gigs are selling in record time.

The band’s Hull Arena gigs on July 2 and 3 sold out this morning in 30 minutes.

A second night at Newcastle Telewest Arena has been added on July 10 to cope with the demand.

Their first Telewest Arena show on July 11 sold out within an hour.

Oasis set for UK Number 1 !

Following sales so far this week reports suggest that “The Hindu Times”, the first single from Oasis within 18 months, is set to hit the number one spot this Sunday. It has been thought that the only real contender is The Doves with the single “There Goes the Fear”.

So far both acts are ahead of current number one, Gareth Gates.
