To be honest. No, because even if I like a band I don’t really bother to read about the members. & it’s hard to tell if they are obnoxious at concerts if you’re sitting in the back

The problem is that most of these guys suffer from drug abuse or mental problems. Axl Rose and Scott Weiland both suffer from Bipolar disorder, and Weiland is a herion/crack addict or was.
I thought Bono was a good guy.

This is actually a very very good question and I’m gonna have to think hard to give you a good answer……ummmmmmmm I love Dada and Butterfly Jones, but their leader, Michael Gurley wasn’t very nice to me when I complimented him after the show. But he was probably tired or looking for tail, so I don’t blame him. So let’s go with the lead guitarist of Brownsville Station…what a dweeb!

I vote for Oasis too – both the Gallaghers are a pain in the @rse, but they do write some good songs.
I don’t much like Richard Ashcroft from the Verve either but I like their music.
Oh, and Thom Yorke from Radiohead – he’s a bit of a plonker too, but a great voice.
EDIT – have to agree, Paul McCartney – I used to like him when he was younger but he’s turned into a right moaning old self righteous git these days. My (late) dad was from Liverpool and couldn’t ever stand the bloke because he used to bang on about Liverpool all the time and yet rarely set foot in the place.

You are right on in all that you named. Bono, especially. I don’t know why, but he really gets under my skin.
And–God, I’m going to get so much hell for this…–Paul McCartney.
HUGE Beatles fan, but… not a personal fan of McCartney.
EDIT: I haven’t met him myself, but I’ve had -three- different people tell me that REM’s Michael Stipe is a “rude prick.” But I don’t want to believe that someone who could sing a song as beautiful as “Everybody Hurts” would be rude and cold to his fans in his hometown.
And Bono… I might be able to take his fight for…everything more seriously if he didn’t spend thousands of dollars to fly his lucky hat -first class- (as in, it had a seat on the plane) to his concert before he’d play. That seemed a bit hypocritical to me.
