Oasis, Chemicals and Foos top Irish music festival

Oasis, the Chemical Brothers and the Foo Fighters are to play the Witnness Festival in Ireland in July.

The line-up also includes Green Day, No Doubt, Badly Drawn Boy and Groove Armada.

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Gomez, A and Mercury Rev also play the festival at Fairyhouse racecourse.

The festival takes place on the weekend of July 13 and 14.

Irish artists The Devlins and Maria Doyle Kennedy are also on the bill, with more acts to be announced in the run-up to the event, www.mcd.ie reports.

Witnness tickets will go on sale on April 27.
